Good Looks and Very Comfortable July 12, 2007 Paul M (Fremont, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Compared to the 4 yr old Bell X-Ray this helmet replaced, the Variant is a lot more comfortable. The various pads inside the old X-Ray have now been combined into one large pad in the Variant. This makes for less moving around and easier removal. It also looks good, more of a heavy duty, all-mountain look than a minimal weight cross-country design. I recommend it highly.
Lifesaver September 10, 2007 J. duke (Pasadena, Md USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just cracked this helmet in half! It literally saved my head from getting cracked open. I went head over handle bars this weekend into a tree and then the hard ground. I will buy another one. I love the fit, feel, and safety of this helmet. would recommend to any mtbr who rides moderate to difficult trails.
Best helmet ever August 28, 2008 Marvin Evans (A2,MI,USA) very comfortable, the straps a little stiff should loosen up with use. The visor is perfect for mountain biking, won't block view at all like other helmets.
Comfortable fit. January 11, 2009 Dr. John A. Hamel V (Kensington, MD USA) The fit is very comfortable and has the ability to make effortless adjustments via the knob in the back. Amazon has the best price on the web for this item.
Good Bike Helmet June 13, 2009 C. A. Birch (Miami, Fl) This is my second bicycle helmet. My first one was cheap and minimal in design. I have used motorcycling head gear over the years, but there is a huge difference in applications.
I ride is South Florida and I was concerned about the heat using a helmet while riding. This unit surprised me in it's comfort and coolness, allowing a good airflow and heat removal.
It is so easy to adjust and use. With the traffic safety issues, it is a must to wear and a good choice, too!
