About Bell

From Grand Prix racing through the Indy 500 to Olympic cycling, Bell helmets have played a vital role in protecting sportsmen and women for nearly 50 years. Bell began as a small auto parts store in a suburb of Los Angeles. Growing under the leadership of Roy Richter, Bell became a leader in safety equipment for auto racing, motorcycling, and then bicycling. His commitment to creating great product through a close connection with the sport, along with his trust of and care for the people who worked for him, turned Bell from a one-man operation into a multi-million dollar enterprise. 5 out of 5 stars saved my head   March 11, 2007

I had a wreck 3 weeks ago and the helmet did its job. My head hit the pavement on a fall during a training ride. The foam cracked instead of my skull. Many thanks to Bell for making a reasonably priced and effective product.

5 out of 5 stars I have a big head...   November 11, 2006

...and could never find a decent helmet. All the others pinched the side of my skull as if they expected me to have a peanut shaped noggin. Then, one day as I was admiring the gray hairs starting to sprout on my sides I realized my head was not spherical but that I had a natural bump on the right side. I'm no phrenologist (i.e., head bump reading fortune teller) but I could tell this helmet was in my future, snug, light, unobtrusive and stylish. Moral: knobby, big headed cyclist stop here.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY.   February 10, 2006

I don't like to wear a helmet. If you are smart you will. The Bell Radar is light, comfortable, stylish and inexpensive. I don't plan on seeing how it will hold up under a crash, but based upon the design, it should. If I were riding in the mountains, or needed extra protection, I would upgrade to one of Bells more expensive products. This one will be fine for me.

5 out of 5 stars Do I have to wear this?   May 5, 2008

That is what I said when I was told that I should get a bike helmet when I decided that I wanted to get a bike. But I am so happy that I followed my friends advice and ordered it, it came to me quicker than my bike did, I put it on and the fit is great and I even fell off my bike and my head hit the ground and it was well protected. I happen to be in the store to get a bag for my bike and I saw a Bell helmet and it was way more expensive than what I paid from Amazon. Thanks for the savings.
